You may be thinking of joining us one Sunday and will probably have loads of questions.
Here are a few common questions that we hope will help.

What denomination does Elgin & Forres Free Church belong to?
We belong to the Free Church of Scotland
Can I come to the service even if I'm not a member?
Of course. We are delighted to welcome people from all backgrounds; those who are Christians, those who are unsure, the curious, and those seeking faith.
What should I wear?
Come as you are - you don't have to dress in a specific way.
On Sundays you'll find most people dress casually (jeans and t-shirt) although some are smartly dressed.
It doesn't matter what you wear, we look forward to meeting you!
Can I bring children?
Yes, children are very welcome.
During the morning service there is a Crèche and Sunday School.
You can find more information here
When I arrive what happens?
You will be met at the door by one of our 'Welcomers'.
They will say hello and offer you a Bible, Psalm Book etc. You don't have to take a Bible but most people do.
You then go into the church to wait for the service to begin.
What happens after the service?
A cup of tea or coffee (or juice or water) and biscuits are available after both morning and evening services.
It's a great opportunity for us to get to know and for you to get to know us!
Do you have music or a praise band and do I have to sing?
We sing a wide range of Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual songs, some accompanied (not a praise band...yet!) & we stand to sing.
No, you don't have to sing if you are uncomfortable doing so.
What about help for the mobility impaired or hard of hearing?
Our church has disabled access and an induction loop system for the hard of hearing.
Just switch your hearing aid to 'T'.
